Patient’s Position:
The patient is supine or seated on the xray table.
Assist the patient by internally rotating the entire leg and foot together 15°-20° until the internal malleolar plane is parallel to IR.
Cassette should be placed under the ankle.
Grasp the distal femur area with one hand and the foot with other.
